Dr. Chen is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon driven by a desire to positively impact her patients’ lives by offering an empathetic and personalized approach to oral health treatment.
Dr. Chen grew up in Vancouver and pursued a career in oral and maxillofacial surgery, a field that offers a unique blend of medicine and dentistry. Her fascination with the field and desire to positively impact people’s quality of life drives the passion behind her work.
Dr. Chen sought a practice that offered a large scope of procedures to address every patient’s needs in a collaborative and welcoming environment, which she sees as a key component to providing high-quality care. Knowing that anxiety is a natural part of any surgery, Dr. Chen approaches each unique case with empathy and compassion, prioritizing the comfort and well-being of every patient. Her thorough explanations and personalized approach put patients at ease.
For Dr. Chen, working as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon gives her the opportunity to impact patient’s lives, alleviate their pain, and restore their oral function and aesthetics while pursuing a career that allows her to work at the intersection of surgical skill, medical expertise, and meaningful interactions.
Education & Residency:
Dr. Chen earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia in 2014. After that, she pursued her medical degree and graduated from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2017. In 2020, she completed her oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University’s Medical Center.
Dr Jose Alamo, DMD

Dr. Alamo earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2006 at Boston University’s School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He entered post-doctoral residency at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York and New York/Presbyterian Hospital in New York, New York completing a two-year General Practice Residency in 2008, with focused training on implants, oral surgery, and sedation. After the two-year residency, Dr. Alamo worked at a community health center for four years, performing thousands of extractions for underserved patients in the community. In 2012, Dr. Alamo went into private practice in Kyle, Texas until he moved to Washington DC in 2022 and has been practicing in Maryland ever since.
Dr. Alamo has always had a deep interest in oral surgery procedures ever since graduating dental school in 2006 and has focused his career and training on learning the best techniques for surgery. His extensive training, experience, and knowledge gives him the confidence to assist patients with complicated extractions, including impacted wisdom teeth, and dental implants.
In 2019, Dr. Alamo was inducted as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (FICD), fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only.

Dr. Rebecca Bibum is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon dedicated to excellence in surgical care and patient experience. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry, graduating at the top of her class and earning induction into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the prestigious national dental honor society, in recognition of her academic achievement, leadership, and character.
Dr. Bibum completed her residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University Hospital, where she was awarded the Thomas J. Pinson Award—the program’s highest distinction—honoring outstanding technical skill, academic performance, and overall clinical excellence.
Her comprehensive surgical training includes dentoalveolar surgery, anesthesia, management of facial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, oral pathology, and reconstructive procedures. She is experienced in both urgent and elective surgical care and is committed to delivering treatment that is precise, safe, and patient-centered.
Dr. Bibum is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care in an environment where patients feel informed and empowered. Outside of the office, she enjoys fishing, discovering new restaurants, and spending meaningful time with her family.
